Nodwin Gaming is India’s one of the biggest gaming companies in India and is known for organizing and managing major esports events throughout India, including Dreamhack, events for PUBG Mobile, ESL India, and more. Nodwin also expanded its operations overseas by opening an office in South Africa and previously partnered with Blizzard Entertainment, a division of Activision Blizzard, and now recently, they have joined their hands with Krafton Inc.
Nodwin Gaming is a subsidiary company of Mumbai-based gaming and sports media firm Nazara Technologies, one of India’s biggest gaming firms. Recently, the firm managed to raise over $22 Million from South- Korean gaming company Krafton, the developer and owner of the popular title PlayerUnkown Battlegrounds (PUBG). However, Nodwin Gaming did not disclose the percentage of the stake secured by Krafton, although Nazara Technologies will continue to hold a stake of more than 50% in Nodwin Gaming.
Nodwin Gaming said that they would be using the investment to scale up on the regions where they already have a good hold, including South Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, to provide better infrastructure, support talents, and organize events on the national and international level with all the latest technologies.

Does it mean that PUBG Mobile India is coming?
After the ban of PUBG Mobile in India, players are hoping for PUBG Mobile India to release soon, and a lot of misconceptions got raised with the investment of Krafton in Nodwin. However, in an IPO press conference, Managing Director and Founder Nitish Mittersain of Nazara Technologies informed that this partnership has nothing to do with the launch of PUBG Mobile India, this merger is for better growth of esports overall, and during the conversation, there have been no mentions what this deal means for PUBG Mobile India.
PUBG Mobile got banned in India in 2020 under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act which means they got engaged in activities that are prejudicial to the sovereignty and integrity of India, the defense of India, the security of the state, and public order. As per the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, this decision was a targeted move to ensure safety, security, and sovereignty of Indian cyberspace.
