Player’s unknown battleground (PUBG) latest map Deston has been revealed, which will be released on July 13. Krafton Games’ famous battle royale video game developers have been teasing the new map, known as Deston, for quite some time, and it has finally been released.
Earlier, the map was teased and referenced by its developer, but it was only during the recent ‘dev talk’ event this map was released. Creative director Dave Curd briefed over the new map with a giant chicken flying above it. Krafton claimed that the new map is the most extensive, tallest and densest map the game has ever witnessed.

“Deston is the largest, tallest and densest map the game has ever seen. Throughout a match on Deston, players will experience dense urban settings with tall vertical buildings to rolling hills, plains and newly designed swamps,” Krafton said of the new map.
“The map aims to deliver the sweet spot between fun gameplay and immersing players in realistic battlegrounds. Deston will challenge players to learn each map biome to understand how it will challenge them to consider different gear, vehicles and cover to claim a Chicken Dinner.”
Deston Features
Touted as the most varied and exploration-focused battleground, the 9×9 or 10×10 map will also feature a variety of places to excite and test survivors. Several new locations include the central plains, concert district and western highlands. The map that was revealed during the dev talk event will also have the first ever swampland environment with mangrove forests.
A number of new items are also coming with this new extension, out of which the Blue Chip detector is the one that has caught the fancy of the fans discussing the game on Reddit. The Blue Chip detector is a version of a spotter scope that lets players detect the location of other players within a limited radius coming in handy for closed combats.
In addition, two new weapons are also coming with the new PUBG map extension. These are the Origin 12 slug shotgun and the MP9 submachine gun. Besides this, the game developer said that the map would have a wide variety of settings like underground laboratories, huge skyscrapers, subways and underwater structures.
