Com2uS, a leading South Korean game publisher, has officially joined the Oasys crypto gaming ecosystem by launching its own layer-2 chain, XPLA Verse. This new venture includes two significant titles from popular franchises, Summoners War: Chronicles and The Walking Dead: All-Stars.
XPLA Verse now hosts Summoners War: Chronicles, an action role-playing game derived from the highly popular Summoners War: Sky Arena, which has amassed over 220 million downloads. Additionally, XPLA Verse features The Walking Dead: All-Stars, based on the renowned zombie comic book series.
Com2uS, known for its substantial presence in mobile gaming in South Korea, has been accelerating its Web3 strategy. The company joined the Oasys ecosystem as an initial validator last year. Com2uS announced its plan in February to integrate the existing XPLA crypto gaming ecosystem into Oasys, starting with these two prominent games.
Leveraging Oasys for Market Expansion
“Com2uS and XPLA aim to leverage Oasys’ extensive knowledge of Japan’s regulatory framework to enhance their market presence and attract more East Asian users,” states an official announcement. This strategic move underscores Com2uS’s commitment to expanding its influence in the rapidly evolving blockchain gaming industry.

Oasys has successfully attracted several major video game publishers and developers. Ubisoft is developing its first original blockchain game, Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles, which is set for release later this year. Additionally, Sega has integrated its IP into the network, while Bandai Namco launched an experimental AI-driven game last year.
The XPLA crypto gaming ecosystem’s expansion onto the Oasys chain through the new Com2uS layer-2 network marks a significant milestone in blockchain gaming. With two notable franchise games, Com2uS is poised to substantially impact the industry.
