Next-gen consoles are all set to release later this year. But there’s no confirmation of the long-awaited GTA 6 by Rockstar Games. Although fans expected to see Sony & Rockstar Games unveil the game on the PS5 event, it turned out they have other plans.
For now, fans are dependent on a series of unconfirmed GTA 6 2020 leaks. Recently, once again fans got their hopes high for Grand Theft Auto 6 after some new leaks. So without further blabbering, let’s cover all the latest stories about GTA 6.
Domain Renewals by Take-Two
On Sunday 16th of June 2020, a Redditor, “cmputerguy” posted to the r/GamingLeaksaAndRumors subreddit. In the post, the user pointed out that Take-Two Interactive, the publisher of Grand Theft Auto saga, has renewed two domains.
The two domains that the company updated or renewed are “gtavicecityonline.com” and “gtavi.com”. Does anything sound familiar? To the majority of people, this move by Take-Two Interactive made a lot of sense related to GTA 6.
Although it might be a smart move by Take-Two to claim the domain before any random fanboy, these websites can come in handy in the future. This news shook the fans of Grand Theft Auto around the world.
Many fans think that at some point in the future, these websites will be the hub of the next Grand Theft Auto installment.
The Revival of Vice City in GTA 6
A trusted leaker who goes by the name of “Markothemexican” claims that GTA 6 2020 will be set in Vice City. Markothemexican predicted the GTA V port and past GTA Online updates (Now a deleted post on Reddit).
Markothemexican declared that he’s been in contact with an individual who used to work for Rockstar North. Furthermore, the leaker claimed that now this employee is no longer working with Rockstar North.
Although the individual hasn’t been working for Rockstar North for quite a long time, he has leaked a good amount of information. According to Markothemexican, GTA 6 will take place in Vice City. Moreover, he isn’t sure about the time period and if any other locations will be connected or not.
As with other leaks, this information can be wrong or true. We don’t know about the future, but this news made fans of the Grand Theft Auto saga reach cloud 9.
New Synthwave Radio Station
Another leak indicated a retro setting for GTA 6 2020. This information was passed via synthwave musician Pete Brain Rice. In a now-deleted tweet, Peter said that the sixth installment of Grand Theft Auto would take place in Vice City. Additionally, he added, “music rights clearing people have been hitting up Synthwave artists for a ‘Radio Station.‘”
Basically, synthwave is a music genre associated with films and games of the 1980s. Which is precisely the era in which GTA 6 has been rumored to take place according to various sources.
People are dying to see any sort of confirmation about the GTA 6 2020. It’s been long seven years for the fans of Grand Theft Auto since the last game was released in September 2013. All the leaks are leading us to somewhere and who knows Rockstar announces GTA 6 as a PS5 exclusive?
