Ryu, Ken, Chun Li, M. Bison, etc. are hands down the top characters of Street Fighter saga. We all know their combos, super attacks, and style of play. But some Street Fighter 5 characters haven’t got the praise they deserve.
Although every character in Street Fighter V has impressive capabilities, some are really underrated. In today’s piece, we’ll be showcasing the three most underrated Street Fighter V characters.
#3 Most Underrated Street Fighter 5 Characters: Vega
This character takes the crown of either annoying or boring the opponent. Vega was famous back in the good old days of Street Fighter 2, 3 & 1. But in recent years, people have forgotten the importance of Vega.
Vega is one of the most lethal Street Fighter 5 characters. A combination of unmatched speed and surprising explosiveness makes Vega one of a kind.
Most of the players find it hard to understand and grasp the style of Vega at first. But once they master this character, it’s merely out of the question to pick any other character.
Vega has excellent potential. Although it’s not easy to master the combos and moves of Vega, the player offers a lot in return. For us, Vega is one of the most underrated Street Fighter V characters.
#2 Most Underrated Street Fighter 5 Characters Birdie
Looking for a character who’s the master of the neutral game? Birdie is the undisputed king of the neutral category. Although Birdie is one of the most humongous Street Fighter V characters, his hard hits make it up for everything.
No doubt, Birdie is a slow and giant character with a huge hurtbox, his high priority and hard-hitting buttons allow him to fight any character. Birdie is all about damaging the health of an opponent without breaking any sweat.
Thanks to players like XYZZY, we now know the real strength of Birdie. Most amateurs hesitate to pick Birdie as he’s slow. But they don’t know that Birdie can cause some real damage to absolutely any of the Street Fighter 5 characters.
For us, Birdie is one of the most underrated characters in Street Fighter 5.
Gill
Most players of Street Fighter V are heavily sleeping on Gill. This character offers a variety of healthy normals like standing medium punch. When set up correctly, Gill can deal with an enormous amount of damage and nail on the pressure.
Gill has got one of the best fireball mechanics out of all Street Fighter V characters. You can mix up ice & fireballs at different speeds. Furthermore, you can shoot the fire/iceballs in multiple directions.
People often put Gill as a low-mid tier character, but to us, it’s one of the most underrated Street Fighter 5 characters. It might take some time for you to master Gill, but every second will be worthwhile.
Stylish combos, unique attributes, and you name it; Gill has got it all to be one of the best fighters in Street Fighter V.
Vega, Birdie, and Gill are the most underrated Stree Fighter 5 characters. Start playing with any one of them, master their style, and then see the results for yourself.
