Fans have been patiently waiting for the release date of Jagged Alliance 3 since it was first revealed in 2004.
Its developer at the time was the Russian studio MiST Land South. Still, after that plan fell through, original publisher Strategy First tried several other studios with similar failures before selling the Jagged Alliance rights in 2010.
Five years later, the rights pinballed once more, this time to Nordic Games, and six years later, THQ Nordic announced that, at long last, work would resume on the third Jagged Alliance game, this time under the direction of Tropico developer Haemimont Games.
The publishers are putting all efforts into making this mercenary strategy game a success
In contrast, THQ Nordic and Haemimont have made an extra effort to give franchise enthusiasts what they want in an improved and thrilling new strategic campaign while attracting newbies with varied tactics and appealing visuals.
Haemimont even went so far as to enlist the assistance of Ian Currie, the original Jagged Alliance creator, who provided advice and contributed his skills to help the team capture the essence of the game’s greatest strengths.

Players can assemble their squads from a roster of 40 unique mercenaries in the turn-based strategy action series, including a few returning characters who will likely Zimmer-frame their way across the battlefield as they try to defeat The Legion, a paramilitary force in the country of Grand Chien.
Haemimont is also promoting an open RPG structure for Jagged Alliance 3, along with various weapons and equipment to transfer in and out of arsenals, unique perk customizations, and complete online co-op support throughout the game’s campaign.
After the game is released, the developers will concentrate on offering players the fun option to personalize the experience to their tastes. The Jagged Alliance 3 mod support will continue to develop and grow after launch, starting with basic mod support that lets players change weapon statistics, difficulty settings, and even the chance to hit percentage.
Players will eventually have access to a potent tool that allows them to design and share their campaigns, recruit new mercenaries, and explore possibilities that are currently unimaginable.
