It has almost been five years since the 7th edition of the popular game Tekken came out. Five years have passed, and Tekken 7 is still providing us with the fun. However, fans have started talking about Tekken 8, the release date, the characters, and whatnot. So, in this article, we have decided to look for some important information regarding the game.

Tekken 8 Release Date:
You must have heard that Tekken 8 will be released sometime next year or in 2022. Unfortunately, the news is not backed up by any official statements from Namco Bandai. The Japanese game development company has been nothing but silent on this issue.
So, to answer your question, we don’t have any official information on this one. However, it may come out this Christmas, or sometime next year.
Tekken 8: Story
Judging by what happened in Tekken 7, it is pretty clear that the 8th edition will revolve around the battle of Mishimas: Jin Kazama vs. Kazuya Mishima.

Characters
Since 1995, when the first version of the game came out, Namco Bandai has been pretty consistent with introducing new characters. The best thing about this game series is that it is packed with unique characters, who make the gameplay more realistic.
In Tekken 7 fans were overall displeased with the introduction of new characters. According to many, they failed to bring anything new to the table and were there for its sake. So, we believe this time around, Namco has a point to prove. There will be new characters in Tekken 8, no doubt, but how important they are is to be seen.

Again, we have disappointing news to share. Although you may find tons of Tekken 8 trailers on YouTube but none of them are real. They are either fan-made trailers or simply scenes taken from Tekken 7 secret ending.

Gameplay
Improving the overall gameplay is not an easy thing, especially when it comes to the fighting genre. Tekken is one of those games that has exceeded our expectations in this regard. You will find something new in every Tekken game you play. The developers of the game have been successfully able to keep the audience engaged for two and a half decades.
So, in general, we expect a lot of new features, moves, characters, etc. in Tekken 8.
