Virtual Reality (VR) game developer company Pixelity Games has been gaining quite a lot of following among gamers interested in immersive playing experiences. Pixelity Games has been making VR games since its establishment in 2017. The game company is now set to release a multiplayer action VR game – The Patcher – featuring large-scale shooting battles and tactical elements utilizing weapons and skills in PvE, PvP, or even PvPvE situations.
The Patcher storyline has arch-rival factions, Junkmol and Skymagg, who fight over their ideology in a post-apocalyptic world. The Patcher open beta offers three game modes: Deathmatch, Boss Raid, and Battlefield.
Deathmatch is a 4v4 PvP game mode. Players can join the Junkmol or Skymagg faction to battle against each other. Battlefield lets players hunt a wide variety of monsters and obtain rare items for enhancing weapons, and players can practice with their weapons while waiting for the Boss Raid or Deathmatch queue.
One of the main features of The Patcher is the Boss Raid mode, a large-scale combat mode in 4v4 with PvPvE. Both camps clash while the giant boss Tantalus is in the center, attacking both sides. Accordingly, new tactics and strategies are essential due to the unique circumstances.
Pixelity Games, established in April 2017, released the world’s first cross-platform multiplayer VR game, “Rise of the Fallen,” in 2018. “Rise of the Fallen” was featured on all four platforms it released, becoming a successful example of a VR online fighting game.
Pixelity Games released “Crazy World VR,” a casual game jointly developed with SK Telecom based on Nexon IP, on Oculus Quest in 2021. The original title, “The Patcher” was released on Kickstarter in 2021 with 120% success and is under development with a target of official release in 2022.
“Pixelity Games wants to make the world more enjoyable through games. We are dedicated to delivering enjoyable VR experiences for game lovers. In addition, we want to be reborn as a company that leads the VR market based on partnerships with excellent companies at home and abroad,” says the company’s website.
