Fortnite and Disney+ are set to make history on May 2, 2025, with the exclusive in-game Star Wars premiere of the first two episodes of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld series, in which First Order Stormtrooper outfit and Watch Party Island will collide in a cinematic gaming event unlike any before

This marks the first time a Disney+ series debuts within a video game, offering players a unique opportunity to experience new Star Wars content ahead of its official release on May 4.

Fortnite will premiere with exclusive early access to Tales of the Underworld, an animated spinoff starring Asajj Ventress and Cad Bane. The first two episodes will premiere on Star Wars Watch Party Island within the game two full days before they land on Disney+.

The Watch Party island transforms from a cinematic venue to a combat-ready battlefield. Armed with lightsabers and blasters, players fight waves of enemies, complete missions, and unlock rewards. The First Order Stormtrooper outfit drops instantly for those who link their Epic Games and MyDisney accounts.

Galaxy Battle Launches the New Season

Coinciding with the Fortnite Star Wars premiere, the Galaxy Battle season brings a complete Star Wars takeover to the battle royale landscape. Players clash across locations such as the Resistance Base and the First Order’s stronghold while chasing missions tied to Darth Jar Jar and Emperor Palpatine.

Galaxy Battle updates weekly, offering new challenges, weapons, and interactive storytelling. This evolution keeps the action fresh and ties back to the themes of the Fortnite Star Wars premiere, deepening the overall Star Wars immersion.

This crossover signals a bigger shift. Earlier this year, Disney acquired a $1.5 billion stake in Epic Games, strengthening its position in gaming and unlocking a new wave of collaborations. The Fortnite Star Wars premiere represents their shared commitment to blending cinematic storytelling with interactive gaming.

By linking accounts, players unlock the First Order Stormtrooper outfit and gain future access to more Disney+ rewards. The move fuels anticipation for continued joint ventures across franchises like Marvel, Pixar, and beyond.

Watch Party Island Makes Viewers the Heroes

Rather than watching passively, players step into the action during the Fortnite Star Wars premiere. The Watch Party island hosts the show, challenges, and battles that reward engagement. Those who view both episodes by May 11 earn an Asajj Ventress loading screen, blending fandom with gameplay.

From social experiences to real-time fights, Watch Party Island turns viewers into active participants. Fortnite invites players to create memories, not just consume content.

Reimagining Streaming and Storytelling

Epic Games and Disney+ shift entertainment from screens to living stories. The Fortnite Star Wars premiere doesn’t simply deliver early content—it offers immersion, interactivity, and excitement. With Galaxy Battle rolling out alongside it, players can keep the adventure going long after the episodes end.

This innovative model reshapes how audiences connect with franchises. With the backing of Disney+ and the creativity of Epic Games, Fortnite now offers more than play—it provides presence.
