PixAI, the AI art platform behind Mio and powering over 13 million creators worldwide, released The Quiet Joker, an animated music video that takes a bold step into gamer-focused storytelling and showcases the creative power of Tsubaki.2.
The Quiet Joker video stars Mio, PixAI’s beloved official mascot, reimagined in a sweeping fantasy world. And the creative event tied to it has a Nintendo Switch 2 as a prize, putting this squarely on every gamer’s radar.
Mio normally plays the cheerful high-school idol. But The Quiet Joker flips that script entirely. In this music video (MV), she steps into a fantasy world as a former court jester of the Demon King’s army, crossing paths with a hero on a world-saving quest.
As their journey deepens, something shifts. The title itself tells you everything: the clown who hides sincerity behind laughter, quietly protecting someone she’s come to treasure.

Vocalist Aira Yuuki shaped every word of that emotional arc.
“The Quiet Joker is a song that portrays the inner world of Mio, PixAI’s image character,” she said.
“With the theme of ‘the one who chooses is you,’ I approached the song with a focus on creating a soft and gently immersive feeling, as if quietly drawing close to the listener, while placing great importance on the space between the words and the resonance they carry,” added Aira Yukki.
It’s a surprisingly rich emotional hook for a platform campaign — and that’s exactly what makes it work. PixAI isn’t just selling you a tool. It’s building a universe around Mio, and it’s using that universe to show what Tsubaki.2 — its next-generation AI animation model — can actually do in the hands of skilled creatives.
Anime Industry Heavyweights Stepped In
This isn’t a casual side project. PixAI brought in genuine industry talent for The Quiet Joker:
Aira Yuuki handled vocals and lyrics. Anime fans know her instantly, as she sang Violet Snow, the tearjerker image song from Violet Evergarden. She also has writing credits on over 300 songs across The Idolmaster and Idolish7.
Akito Matsuda composed and arranged the track. He’s the mind behind the emotionally layered in-game music of the Sound! Euphonium series.
Notably, The Quiet Joker marks their first collaboration in roughly 15 years, and both artists felt the weight of that reunion.
Matsuda said, “Since this was also my first collaboration with Aira Yuuki in about 15 years, I paid particular attention during the production process to how I could weave the most appealing qualities of her voice into the melody. A great deal of feeling went into this track, and I truly hope listeners will enjoy it.”
Yuuki echoed that sentiment warmly, “I would also be very happy if listeners pay attention to my reunion with Akito Matsuda after such a long time.”
M-ACG Studio and the PixAI Animation Team jointly produced the animation. The result feels polished, not promotional — and that distinction matters.
Why Gamers Should Care About Tsubaki.2
Here’s where PixAI stops being a fun story and starts being a genuinely interesting platform for the gaming community. Tsubaki. 2, the AI art platform’s newly launched flagship creation model, brings three major upgrades:
- Stronger character consistency across scenes — critical for anyone building game assets or original characters
- Better prompt-to-image accuracy, meaning what you type is genuinely what you get
- Extended aspect ratio support, useful for wallpapers, splash screens, and game UI mockups
Matsuda himself hinted at the compositional precision that mirrors the platform’s design philosophy.
“I wanted to create a song with a strong sense of momentum and a chord progression that feels especially satisfying.” That same intention, craft that clicks, is what Tsubaki.2 aims to deliver visually.
During the ongoing Mio’s Trick Party event, which runs until April 7, 2026, users can generate up to 310 images for free using Tsubaki. 2. For indie game developers, concept artists, or gamers who simply want to bring their original characters to life, that’s a meaningful creative runway.
The Prizes Are Legitimately Competitive
- PixAI is running two campaign tracks on X (formerly Twitter) to celebrate the animated music video launch:

PixAI made waves in the first half of 2025, ranking #1 in sales in Japan’s App Store Graphics and Design category, according to Sensor Tower data, and landing at #6 across all AI General apps. Since its launch in October 2022, this AI art platform has cultivated a passionate community in North America, South Korea, and Taiwan, areas known for their vibrant gaming and anime fandoms.
The animated music video for “The Quiet Joker” is now streaming on YouTube. Mio’s story and what PixAI has planned next for her are definitely worth watching!
