League of Legends Worlds 2023 Song: A Collaboration with Kpop Group ATEEZ?
Speculations emerged that the anthem/song for the upcoming League of Legends world championship (Worlds 2023) would feature a collaboration with Kpop group ATEEZ.
Riot Games is hosting the global championship of its renowned MOBA game, League of Legends: League of Legends Worlds 2023. Each year, the prominent global championship usually features an inspiring anthem that raises the spirits and anticipation of both the players and spectators.
Last year, League of Legends Worlds 2022 invited Grammy winner Lil Nas X for a collaboration song, “STAR WALKIN’”. Despite its various copyright and YouTube controversies, the song remains one of the iconic masterpieces of Riot Games and its League of Legends Worlds song collections.
Alongside Lil Nas X, last year’s opening ceremony also featured Kpop pride singer and successful GOT7 member Jackson Wang.
Presenting the “Fire to the Fuse” League of Legends Worlds song, Jackson Wang delivered a majestic performance: a perfect match to the theme and music of the championship.
This year, League of Legends Worlds 2023 may spotlight a rising star in fourth-generation Kpop, ATEEZ.
What Caused the Speculations?
So, where exactly did the speculation come from, and how did it happen in the first place?
It all started last month when Kpop group ATEEZ departed for a Kpop event in Los Angeles. As the members showcased their exciting experience in the city of angels, Kpop fans noticed a familiar place in their photos: the Riot Games headquarters office.
Initially, ATEEZ’s visit to Riot Games office wasn’t surprising, given that many of its members are known for being avid gamers. However, the friendly visit turned into massive speculations caused by none other than Riot Games itself.
A while after the visit was made public, Riot Games official social media account posted photos of Kpop group ATEEZ with a cryptic caption. Knowing that the post appeared a month before the League of Legends Worlds 2023 took place, it fueled the speculations that Riot Games will feature a collaboration with ATEEZ for the upcoming Worlds 2023 song.
And that is especially when Riot Games posted the photo using the alternate social media account of Riot Games Music. That is why it increased the possibility of a collaboration song for League of Legends 2023 Worlds between Riot Music and ATEEZ.
