Infinity Nikki Version 2.0, the anniversary update titled Terra’s Call, introduces a massive dress-up adventure expansion featuring open-world mechanics, the new Itzaland map, enhanced combat, and revolutionary gameplay features that redefine player freedom.
The release launched on November 26, 2025, marks the game’s first birthday with its most ambitious evolution yet. Meanwhile, developer Infold Games celebrates a milestone achievement as the title has generated $70 million in mobile revenue alone during its first year.
Version 2.0 introduces players to reimagined Itzaland, featuring two distinct areas, Elderwood Forest and Spira, that expand westward from the existing Wishfield region on the game map. This open-world game environment stretches beneath encircling mountain ranges, accessible through a winding passage beyond the abandoned district.
Furthermore, the anniversary update delivers enhanced visual fidelity across the entire experience. Infold Games implemented more than 20,000 new sound samples, including location-specific bird songs that shift as players traverse different environments.
Additionally, the dress-up adventure now features improved lighting effects, realistic cloud rendering, and enhanced fog systems, creating deeper immersion.
Revolutionary Combat and Traversal Mechanics
The gaming update introduces Archery as Nikki’s first weapon system, replacing previous purification abilities with homing arrows that automatically lock onto targets within range. Moreover, players gain access to three transformative movement abilities.
Namely, gigantification for size manipulation, sticky claw for vertical climbing, and low-gravity mechanics that fundamentally change exploration.
These new features enable interactions with environmental elements, such as wall-climbing snails, singing mushrooms, and snail drifting, that inject whimsy into gameplay. Consequently, the open-world game environment feels significantly more dynamic than previous versions.
Terra’s Call revolutionizes narrative progression by making both main and side stories freely accessible. This design choice empowers players to explore emotional storylines at their own pace, without the need for sequential completion.
The dress-up adventure component expands through exclusive anniversary and birthday outfit collections that continue the franchise’s tradition of storytelling through fashion. Performance optimizations particularly benefit PlayStation 5 users, who now experience more stable 60fps gameplay alongside improved controller layouts and key bindings.
Commercial Success Fuels Continued Development
Infinity Nikki Version 2.0 arrives on the heels of extraordinary commercial performance. The game surpassed 10 million downloads within just five days of its December 2024 launch, generating $16 million in mobile revenue during its first month.
“Infinity Nikki has always been about giving players the freedom to express themselves,” said Douhu, Lead Gameplay Systems Design (Outfits) at Infold Games. “With Version 2.0, we wanted to take that freedom even further.”
The anniversary update represents everything the development team learned throughout the past year, according to Douhu. Community feedback shaped numerous improvements, including enhanced navigation systems, optimized control schemes, and improved illumination in dark areas.
Platform Availability and Future Roadmap
The gaming update launches for free across Steam, the Epic Games Store, and PlayStation 5. Infold Games confirmed that additional Itzaland regions will unlock throughout 2026, alongside event-themed island maps, including a Linlang-inspired location.
Notably, the dress-up adventure now allows new players to skip the initial 1.0 content and jump directly into the expanded Itzaland experience. This accessibility feature removes barriers for late arrivals while veteran players enjoy anniversary rewards, including free pulls and exclusive outfit collections.
Version 2.0 transforms Infinity Nikki from a visual showcase into a living world shaped by community imagination. The update’s emphasis on exploration freedom, combat depth, and creative customization positions the open-world game for sustained growth throughout its second year.
