eSports in Korea is more than a game. eSports to Korean people is what Rugby is to New Zealand, or Soccer is to Brazil. There are many other nations where e-gaming is quickly gaining popularity, but no one can beat South Korea. This industry offers career growth, lots of money, fame, and potential for everyone who likes esports.
We have decided to take a look and explore a bit more about personalities, companies, and other stakeholders running the game in South Korea.

Faker’s real name is Lee Sang-hyeok, and he is known for his exceptional talent in the game League of Legends. He started playing the game when he was 15 (in the year 2011). Wolf (Lee, Jae Wan) is another player who has a profound impact on eSports in Korea and worldwide. Wold is also an LoL player who retired back in 2019. He continues to help in the development of eSports around the world.
Lee has a total earning of $913,084.70. He doesn’t play anymore; however, he remains an active esports personality.
Loki
Loki’s real name is Bak, Jeong Yeong, and he is regarded as the best PUBG player in the world. To date, he has earned more than 767 thousand US dollars. He has won a total of six tournaments and came as a runner up in four of them.
Loki is yet another player from South Korea who helped in making eSports more famous in the country.
