“Metal Suits” is a pixel art-driven side-scrolling action game in an early access stage. It defies conventions in the run ‘n’ gun genre and is a fusion of classic inspiration and modern dynamism. The game will release in 2023 on Steam.

Drawing inspiration from iconic classics such as “Metal Slug,” “Mega Man,” and “Broforce,” the game developed by Eggtart Inc. ingeniously blends explosive firepower with strategic depth.

While initially appearing as a fast-paced firepower showcase, “Metal Suits” unfolds into a tactical marvel as players journey through its stages.

At its core, the game offers various destructible terrain features that players can manipulate to their advantage. This interaction with the environment adds complexity, challenging even the most adept gamers.

Balancing Strategy and Action, The Heart of “Metal Suits”

The game’s narrative thrust revolves around a futuristic conflict in 4029. In the Hellios system, the planets face a sudden invasion by the enigmatic Golida tribe.

Players step into the shoes of “Kevin,” a combat cyborg who wields the titular “Metal Suits.” Each suit offers distinct abilities and weapons, enhancing gameplay possibilities and transforming Kevin into an adaptable force.

The meticulously designed map structures testify to the game’s brilliance. Jinman Park, CEO of Eggtart Inc., emphasizes the joy in strategic thinking before each map, leading to that exhilarating moment when a carefully constructed plan comes to fruition.

Players must balance weapon usage for destruction while avoiding self-inflicted damage, underscoring the game’s strategic nature.

Adversaries of Substance, Enhanced Tactical Depth

“Metal Suits” takes enemy encounters to a new level. The adversaries respond intelligently to the player’s movements, some deflecting bullets with shields and others launching explosive counterattacks. This intricate dance between player and enemy elevates the game’s tactical depth, demanding a keen understanding of enemy behavior.

The game’s map editor, a versatile tool, empowers both creation and balance, allowing the team to refine and iterate over time. This dedication to fine-tuning ensures that “Metal Suits” maintains its delicate balance between accessibility and challenge.

Beyond its captivating single-player modes, “Metal Suits” boasts a cooperative dimension. The online co-op mode facilitates collaboration among players, fostering camaraderie in overcoming challenges.

Furthermore, the planned introduction of a user-created map-based PvP mode demonstrates the game’s commitment to community engagement and innovative gameplay.

Diverse Modes and Future Prospects

“Metal Suits” offers an expansive experience through its Story Mode, Arcade Mode, and the forthcoming Battle Royale Mode. The growth potential is evident, as Jinman Park envisions a mobile PvP game expansion post-launch, capitalizing on the game’s versatility.

Gaming enthusiasts worldwide eagerly anticipate the official release of “Metal Suits” in 2023. With its innovative mechanics, engaging narrative, and commitment to player collaboration, the game will carve a distinctive niche within gaming history.

As the gaming community counts down the days to its release, the excitement surrounding “Metal Suits” underscores its potential to redefine the run ‘n’ gun genre, setting a new standard for strategy-infused action games.
