Pixelity, the virtual reality (VR) development studio, is set to captivate audiences at Gamescom 2023, the renowned global gaming extravaganza, held from August 23rd to 27th at the Koelnmesse Exhibition Center.
With an impressive lineup of immersive experiences, Pixelity aims to redefine the boundaries of VR entertainment and leave a lasting mark on the gaming industry.
Founded in April 2017, Pixelity has been a driving force in the VR realm, consistently pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in virtual reality. Their dedication to creating captivating and immersive experiences is evident in every game they release.
From their debut creation, “Rise of the Fallen,” to the recent releases of Crazy World VR, The Patcher, and Puttzzle, Pixelity has gained recognition for delivering high-quality graphics and intuitive gameplay, making VR accessible and thrilling for players of all skill levels.
Highlighting Milestones, A Journey of Success
Remarkable achievements have punctuated Pixelity’s journey. Their entry, Rise of the Fallen, secured the Grand Prize at the VR/AR Creative Audition hosted by GCA in October 2017, setting the stage for their innovative approach.
The studio’s commitment to excellence was further recognized when Rise of the Fallen clinched the Gold Prize at the Qualcomm & Pico Innovation Contest in September 2019.
The Patcher, A New Era of Multiplayer VR Action
The Patcher is at the heart of Pixelity’s offerings, a groundbreaking tactical multiplayer action VR game. This Co-op shooter boasts a simple yet engaging gameplay approach centered around progression systems that drive repetitive play, ensuring lasting engagement.
Powered by Unreal Engine 4, the game seamlessly transcends platforms, enabling players on Steam VR, Pico VR, PSVR 2, and Meta Quest to join forces and partake in large-scale shooting battles.
With support for up to 8 players, The Patcher introduces three distinct game modes, offering strategic depth and heart-pounding action. The game’s faction system allows players to align with the ‘Junkmol’ or ‘Skymagg’ faction, delivering an exciting and immersive journey as a Patcher.
Pixelity’s Gamescom 2023 Presence, Elevating VR Technology
Building on their successful participation in last year’s Gamescom, Pixelity is gearing up for their second consecutive appearance, eager to connect with VR enthusiasts, developers, and publishers across Europe.
With their flagship titles, The Patcher and Teahouse of Souls, already gaining attention at the Game Developer Conference 2023, Pixelity is set to unveil enhanced versions of these titles, along with the much-anticipated casual game Shooting Festa, which is currently in development.
Pixelity’s participation in Gamescom 2023 is a launching pad for an exciting second half of the year. With sequential releases planned across multiple platforms, the studio is poised to elevate its global influence further.
