Pokémon Franchise Announces Collaboration with Kpop Group ENHYPEN: ‘One and Only’
Collaborative projects between gaming and Kpop have apparently become the new trend in the gaming industry. However, the recent Kpop x game collaborations have proven to be one of the most effective methods of advertising new projects and events.
For instance, the previous collaboration between Diablo 4 and BTS Suga, has created a whole new hype in the Kpop communities. The project managed to draw more individuals to the Diablo franchise, particularly after the project faced allegations of promoting satanism.
Today, the trend of collaboration between the gaming and Kpop industries continues with a new project from the legendary video game and animation franchise Pokémon.
ENHYPEN: the 2nd Musician for the Pokémon Music Collective Project
On July 1 at midnight KST, Pokémon Japan’s official social media account announced a new collaborative project with Kpop’s 4th generation group ENHYPEN.
According to the announcement, the new collaboration is part of the Pokémon Music Collective, Pokémon’s music project with Universal Music Japan. This project aims to gather various musicians worldwide and create new music based on the original soundtracks of the Pokémon game.
Previously, Pokémon Music Collective featured its first collaboration with a Japanese producer, Imase. In September last year, the project released its first song, Sing (うたう). The song has gained significant popularity, with approximately 121,000 views on YouTube.
As the second artist to join the Pokémon Music Collective project, ENHYPEN has been invited for an exciting gaming and Kpop collaboration. Pokémon will work together with ENHYPEN to release a new song titled ‘One and Only’.

When is ‘One and Only’ Release Date?
Finally, this exhilarating gaming and Kpop collaboration will not only produce new track, but the Pokémon x ENHYPEN collab will also feature a whole new music video dedicated to the song
Kpop agency BELIFT Lab announced that the release date of the Pokémon x ENHYPEN collab song, ‘One and Only’ will be on July 12. However, fans will be provided with exciting teasers and hints of the music video a week earlier on July 5.
