The true essence of a pro player lies in his achievements and accomplishments as a gamer while enjoying the game altogether. Pro gamers tend to think and analyze more swiftly and calmly. Their overall prowess in the gaming field makes gaming a career choice very much accepted and welcomed. Aspiring gamers always try to follow pro players and learn from them. The world of esports is full of such pro players who are trying to make a living out of playing games at the highest level.

The journey to reach a professional level is always full of complexities and difficulties. One must learn how to overcome all the odds to perfect and hone their skills. There are many ways to attain the required level of dedication and experience. Top players always like to point out that it is only hard work that one should focus on. In this world of esports, things are dynamic and changing very frequently. Stability is more of an illusion when fame can be so much near one’s grasps. Thus it is a responsibility of an individual gamer to maintain a strong composer even under fame and spotlight.

The Tricks To Become A Pro Player

Pro players aren’t made overnight. Months of hard work, dedication, and patience are required to achieve success. When players choose the esports profession as their career alternatives, many thoughts can cross their minds. The support of friends and family also from time to time plays a crucial role in shaping a gamer’s future. In many developing countries, gaming is still not acknowledged as a professional sport and thus the path of a gamer becomes increasingly more difficult. Although there is no shortcut to success, one may remember these tricks before joining the race of reaching the top.

Choosing The Right Game To Start With

This is a very crucial step to start with. Many players often dedicate their time playing multiple games and enjoy casually. As a result, it is good for passing the time but does it having any impact on their gameplay? Are they improving as a player? The answer to that question is often in the negative. Players who can play to their strengths can also improve and play better than others. There are many games nowadays which involve a competitive attitude. But an aspiring gamer who dreams of going pro should choose that particular game that he can play better than the others. After choosing the right game it is the execution and practice that will take them to the top. It is not necessary to start with a popular game. Many pro players have started with uncommon games and later made it popular among others with their skills.

Watching Games of Pro Players And Taking Notes

Many people like to believe that playing more games will perfect their skills as pro players. While this idea is entirely not false, some of it also depends upon the way the game is learned and practiced. If a player only practices blindly and does not learn anything from the games, it is futile to put in so much hard work. Top players often have so much to offer when they are playing in the competition with their team or maybe streaming alone. The different ideology behind a particular move or decision making in the game is what new players should observe.

“ I used to go through a slump when I lost, but now I take failure as a learning process”
  • Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok

Most players are often more inclined towards winning matches. But a defeat can also provide good lessons to embark upon. By careful observation of pro matches and the battle strategies of different pro players, one should acquire the basics of the game faster. Without aimlessly playing the match, one would be able to focus on the pointers from the game as observed in a pro-gameplay and try to execute accordingly.

Finding The Correct Motivation

Often gamers are driven by certain motivation that gives them the strength and helps them set a goal in front of them. Playing without any motivation or goal can often lead to unprofessional gaming routines and casualness in one’s life. Many players who look to go pro are often thwarted by the strict schedules of practices and concentration that are required on their part. Others who lose patience in between matches also lack the proper motivation to support them through hard work.

“Gaming isn’t just a hobby anymore, it’s a career path and a lifestyle for some people.”
  • Ryan “Big Apple Pie” Gresty

Players can decide on the correct motivation and it will help them to remain focused. The motivation can from anything. Getting a lot of fame, winning cash prizes and getting rich, becoming a role model to others is to name a few. Motivation is something that is unique to each person and comes naturally. If someone is not getting the right motivation while playing the game, then it might not be the correct path for them after all. Everyone should enjoy doing what they love, and this will allow them to dedicate their time to the game more graciously.

 Managing Time Effectively

The very important aspect of playing in pro matches as a professional player is to maintain a high concentration level throughout the match. Sometimes these games can continue for hours at a stretch. Thus one needs to make sure they get plenty of rest and give their brain the chance to cool down. Similarly, it is very important to manage one’s time throughout the day. Playing all day long isn’t what the doctor orders.

Having a nice personal life, and knowing when to relax is important. It helps the players to take out time for their own business and also relax in the process. As a result, the brain is more stimulated during the actual playtime and players can focus better in their game. Having a routine to follow also involves discipline which is strongly recommended.

Having The Right Gears

One must also look for collecting the right gears that are sure to aid them in the pro matches. Although it may seem futile, careful utilization of pro gears increases a player’s capabilities largely. The difference in latency of movements, reaction per click, and resolution of the gaming PC is also very important. Playing with outdated and cheap gears can also affect the gameplay styles of the player. Having a good gaming mouse, the keyboard is essential for many gamers. New gamers often ignore the difference in sensitivity while playing although movements play an important part. It is vital to have lag-free gaming set up at the very least.

Participating In the Community Programs

All new players must make it a habit to participate in the team’s meetings and engage with other players from different parts of the world. This allows players with similar problems to associate and discuss their issues and come to solutions. Indulging in community affairs keeps the new aspirants busy in learning. The company of other players can be tricky for many upcoming aspirants, but it is necessary for learning teamwork. Teamwork holds the key to success in many pro scenes. While individually one can be very good, it is how they can play with a team that matters the most in a competitive scenario.

Practice More

“Even when you lose, you’re practicing, and practice really makes perfect.”
  • Tyler “Teepee” Polchow

Even after all the tricks, there is no shortcut from practicing more. A gamer can only perfect their skill through rigorous practice and self-realization of mistakes. Budding talent must understand their full potential and their limit as well. Not only that, but a player should also focus on the underlying aspects of the game and figure out different situational strategies to go with. To a common gamer, the game will appear as a simple objective-based exercise. But a pro player will be able to see through all the underlying mechanics and story of the game. Once the players can figure out how to play better, it is only a matter of time to master the game under different situations and get professional.

Moving Up The Matchmaking Ladder

To establish themselves as professional players, aspirants need to climb up the ranks of matchmaking in the game and make a name for themselves. Millions of players play the same game, and to become pro one must shine brighter than the others. After honing and perfecting their skills with the right gears and practice, players must involve in more ranked matchmaking and aim for higher levels in the game. Once one can reach the higher ranks, the competition is sure to get even tough. Only the best players of the game can climb the matchmaking ladder and thus the efficacy of the whole game rest on its ability to rank players according to their skills. By becoming a top-ranked player, it will be easy to get noticed by others and the road to pro gaming will be one step closer.

Finding a Team

As told earlier, most esports involve playing with a team and players are particularly efficient these days when it comes to team play. To become a pro, one must learn how to manage and play efficiently with a suitable team that will support them through thin and thick. Finding the right team is quite a sincere task to manage. A good team will need a player to bond with other members of the team and play to their strengths as well.  Team players need to develop their game keeping in mind others who are involved in the team as well. The ability to follow a call in the match is important.

Enjoy The Game

In the end, it is really important to enjoy the game while playing. Although esports is a very serious profession now, playing, in general, is always about enjoying the game. If someone is playing without having fun, then probably their heart and soul is not at par with their decisions. It is really important to notice the little sparks of emotions that one feels while winning or losing a match. This is something that keeps everyone going the positive way. As long as players are enjoying the game, there will be no second thoughts clouding their judgment. People always excel at things they love to do.

Many players have their own viewpoints on how to be a top player. There will be several tips thrown at you down the road, but one must always trust their instinct and follow the basics. These tricks shared here are a way of understanding the basic requirement of pro gaming and developing them. Players are encouraged to apply new theories as well while practicing. After all, practice makes a man perfect.
